*sigh*

I am not sure what happened, but I am in slump right now. It is not that I really do miss the time, even though there is less time, it seems the work is piling and I am essentially avoiding getting shit done. Escapism. I am still passionate about this topic, in fact so much that I find it emotionally exhausting. So I try to slowly get back to action, getting rid of one of the things that keeps me from continuing. The spellchecker. If you use chrome and you want to have an English spellchecker as a German, that is not that easy, as it does not work out of the box for me. The one I am using right now certainly is not getting everything right (sigh). But anyhow, I haven't looked at the unpublished post queue yet, but will see if I can get some posts done to slowly get rid of the queue (I am not reading new stuff (well I tend to avoid it) right now) once I figure out installing a fucking spellcheck. In 2013.....Jesus.

So hopefully there is more content here soon.

I am kind of back...

Kind of....right now going through my google reader (600+ links) looking at interesting things I missed and I guess I will start posting again once I am up-to-date.

Anyhow....welcome back me.

As I already mentioned in a previous post a hiatus is probably going to happen....well now. My little boy has just been born. He and his mother are fine thus far and his big sister is pretty cool about this, too. Pretty proud of my whole family right now.

One of the best feelings in the world is chilling in bed with your 1-day old sleeping on your chest. That is pretty awesome and I am making sure too miss much of that in the following days. I will have a 1 month break from work before going into parenting time and working part time for the next 2 months. Then things will turn more normal I assume.

Anyhow, don't be surprised if there are not much updates here.

Incoming hiatus.....or not?

I rarely talk about myself here, this however is one of the times it is appropriate. This blog, although it does not seem to be that way, is quite a bit of work. On average I have about 30-50 links I check on a daily basis, 200+ unpublished posts and the "Short Fact List" which means also digging through the 600+ posts there already are...enough to keep me busy. You might have noticed that I was not that active recently. Well, the reason, we are having a baby, soon. It is the last month of pregnancy, stress is building up and afterwards I am going to take a month off and take 2 additional "father-months" (3 days at work, 2 at home) after that.

Do I stop posting entirely? Well not sure, it all depends on how stressful the time will actually be. Maybe we are in a good routine soon, maybe things are not going that well. Fact is, blogging is currently not a priority here, so do not be surprised. Going to be back to normal in a few months (I hope).

The way it looks now...

...will change. I am atm changing the layout and some of the postings a bit so um act surprised regular readers....ha!

And I am back in....

Somehow, a bit. Ah well, I blame the Worldcup (Go Germany!), the hot weather. and my lower back (still hurtin'). Expect some updates in the near future...

Change of pace...

The idea of this blog once was to take the bits of useful information we get every now and then and create posts about it, comment on it, have a resource one could forward to someone else instead the searching through tidbits of informations I did in the past.

Creating such posts like the giant blobs of text you sometimes find on this blog takes me quite some time, time I do not have to such an extent that I had before due to personal reasons (including lower back pain that limits the time I can sit in front of a computer every day). As of now I have about 70 unfinished, unpublished blogposts and huge lists of "tidbits of informations" to add to these posts. These lists keep growing every other day and certainly do not help to keep me motivated to wade through all of them and create wonderful postings.

To get control of these amounts of information I will in the future cut back to what I did with the warcraft file, less comments and more information.

So to all of my readers (all 2 of them. Hi, Mum!) who are wondering why there are more and more short posts, you now know what is going on.

This time a purely administrative post.

I beefed up the ressources list on the right side and included some of the finest links about Domestic Violence there are:

DVStats.org is a nice search Engine based on t he Fielbert list, that links to many studies.

• DV_50 Myths
• DV_Fact Sheet

Two links by Mediaradar.org. The 50 Myths cover almost everything. In addition the Fact sheet is a nice short overview. Mediaradar itself is a very well designed site and has much more ressources but those are the ones, I think are the most useful.

 And of course the fielbert list that recently crossed *drumroll pleased* the 200 Studies mark. Whew....a lot of resources.

This bibliography examines 256 scholarly investigations: 201 empirical studies and 55 reviews and/or analyses, which demonstrate that women are as physically aggressive, or more aggressive, than men in their relationships with their spouses or male partners.  The aggregate sample size in the reviewed studies exceeds 253,500. 

 It keeps growing and growing and growing.

Secondly as you probably noticed (if you visit my blog and not just read about it on antimisandry, you lazy git) I drasticly changed the Layout of this blog. The main reason for doing so was the squeezed text & pictures in the previous setting. With more space my uber-long posts are far easier to read. I am not sure if I keep the colour though, doesn´t look bad, but eventually I´ll go back to black. It would be perfect if the column on the right was on the left, but well one can´t have everything (if someone is willing to help, I am willing to listen).

What are your thoughts on the new layout? Better? Worse? Also I am looking for a new title...the equality from a mans perspective is just to generic.If someone comes up with a good idea, kudos to you.
